NYC Sweet Spots

In anticipation of spring break I put together a list of...

Must Eat City Sweet Treats!

1. Spot Dessert Bar

First spot is none other than Spot Dessert Bar! I love the taste of matcha (& the vibrant green colors!)

What to Try:
Green Tea Chocolate Lava Cake (pictured left)
Green Tea-ramisu (pictured right)

Located: East Village & Midtown West [two locations]

2. Dominique Ansel Bakery

I've had a Faux-nut from Paris Baguette before and thought it was beyond delicious. So I'm especially looking forward to trying the real thing!

What to Try: The one, the only, the original Cronut.

Located: Soho

3. Momofuku Milk Bar

I've tried the famous crack pie but I'm not an addict. It tasted like an overly sweet egg custard to me.

What to Try: Cereal Milk Soft Serve with Corn Flake topping

Location: You're in luck! There are 5 locations: East Village, Midtown, Upper West Side, Williamsburg, and Carroll Gardens.

4. Lady M Mille Crepes

Je voudrais manger cette crêpe!

What to Try: A slice of Lady M Mille Crêpe

Location: Upper East Side & near Bryant Park & near Central Park [Three locations]

5. Laduree Macarons

About the closest you can get to the taste of Paris!

What to Try: Macarons. ALL the macarons.

Location: Upper East Side

6. Wafels and Dinges

Yes, a food truck made it on to this list. A mouth-watering waffle food truck.

What to Try: A "Waffle of Massive Deliciousness" (WMD) with unlimited dinges (aka toppings!) Make sure to get the spekuloos spread & ice cream.

Location: Various spots across the city. (You can call the Hot Wafeline for more deets at 866-429-7329). They have a storefront in East Village.

7. Cafe De Cupping

Surprise! ... Queens has worthwhile dessert spots too! Not everything is in Manhattan.

What to Try: Honey Toast [pictured on top], Red Velvet Latte [pictured on bottom]

Location: Flushing, Queens represent

8. Serendipity

It's getting cold AND hot in here.

What to Try: Frrrozen Hot Chocolate. (But if you're feeling particularly extravagant, you could go for some $25,000 Frrrozen Haute Chocolate, which currently holds the record for most expensive dessert.)

Location: Upper East Side

*And, last but not least, I wanted to mention... Café Henri in Long Island City for excellent brunch and Croissant Pudding. I promise, a full review will be coming soon!*

Sneak Peek:

Be prepared to be hungry.
